Far Cry 6 is out now, though the mixed critical reception is putting some people off spending their hard-earned money on the game. In this situation, an Xbox Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate membership is often the answer. Being able to download and play FC6 for free (or at no additional cost, anyway) would be perfect. So, is Far Cry 6 on Game Pass for PC and consoles? Here’s the lowdown on a release date for FC6 on Microsoft’s popular game subscription service.
Is Far Cry 6 on Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One?
Far Cry 6 is available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One as of its October 7, 2021 release date. Players can purchase FC6 digitally or physically, though it isn’t available on Xbox Game Pass.
Unfortunately, Far Cry 6 isn’t available as part of the Xbox Game Pass catalog at launch. Although subscribers won’t be able to play FC6 via Game Pass on Xbox consoles from release, it could come to the service in the future. Ubisoft stablemates Rainbow Six: Siege and For Honor took years to come to Xbox Game Pass, however, so users could be in for a long wait.
Is Far Cry 6 on Xbox Game Pass for PC?
Far Cry 6 is available at no extra cost to Ubisoft+ subscribers on PC. FC6 isn’t available as part of an Xbox Game Pass for PC subscription.
Though Far Cry 6 isn’t on XGP for PC, it is available via the Ubisoft+ subscription service. Of course, it’s also available to buy digitally from the Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store (EGS). To many users’ dismay, there is no FC6 Steam version available to players with an affinity for Valve’s digital storefront.
