Guardians of the Galaxy Game Pass Release Date: Is GotG coming to Xbox and PC?

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy game is perhaps the biggest surprise of 2021 so far. After the Avengers game, most people weren’t expecting much from GotG — mostly owing to their shared publisher, Square Enix. In reality, the game is a massive improvement, which has players hoping for a Guardians of the Galaxy Game Pass launch. But, is there a GotG Game Pass release date for Xbox Series X, Series S, Xbox One, and PC? Here’s the lowdown on Marvel Games’ latest coming to XGP for console and computers.

Is Guardians of the Galaxy coming to Game Pass for Xbox consoles?

Guardians of the Galaxy Game Pass Release Date

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy game is available on Xbox Series X, Series S, and Xbox One following the October 26, 2021 release date. GotG game isn’t on Xbox Game Pass or XGP Ultimate, with no public plans to join the subscription service soon.

Guardians of the Galaxy fans can purchase the game physically or digitally on Xbox right now. Unfortunately, those looking to save money by playing via an Xbox Game Pass subscription are out of luck. There are no current plans for a GotG Game Pass release, though it could happen in the future; Marvel’s Avengers took a year to hit game pass, so GotG could potentially follow suit.

Guardians of the Galaxy Game Pass Release Date

The Guardians of the Galaxy game could come to Xbox Game Pass for PC in October 2022. Marvel’s Avengers took one year to hit the service, setting a precedent that GotG may follow.

Marvel’s GotG game is available on PC now, though is a premium download and not available via Xbox Game Pass. While it could hit the service this time next year, based on past precedent, there are no guarantees. It’s important to remember that Avengers is an online game that needed a boost to its player count, whereas, being a single-player title, Guardians of the Galaxy will never be in that situation.
