Quordle Answer 147

Quordle Answer 147: June 20, 2022 Word Solution

The Quordle 147 answer for June 20, 2022 has been uncovered. Like yesterday’s puzzle, this one hovers around medium difficulty. The number of uncommon letters is rather low at around three, so most of the challenge derives from simple-looking constructions that have multiple solutions. Due to the uncommon letters, the word in the lower-right corner is the most challenging. If you need a hint, it has something to do with a game show about a supermarket. Are you looking for the full solution? Then you can find it in the next section.

What is Quordle answer 147? (June 20, 2022)

Quordle Answer 147

The Quordle answer 147 is:

  • “TRAIN”
  • “LINEN”
  • “BURST”
  • “SWEEP”

“SWEEP” can be trickier than it seems, because the word can reduce to either the “S?EEP” or “SWEE?” constructions. Both of these have a few solutions, so hopefully it will be the last remaining word you attempt to solve and by then you may have deduced the “W” or “P,” perhaps even the double “E” vowel. The other challenging word is “BURST” as you’ll probably deduce the last four common letters near the beginning of the puzzle, but “?URST” has quite a few solutions: “B,” “C,” “D,” “W,” and “H.” With any luck, you’ll likely land on the “B” because Quordle tends to favor the most commonly used words in its solutions.

In comparison, “LINEN” and “TRAIN” should be fairly simple. Apart from the double “N” in the former word, both are comprised of common vowels and consonants. In fact, you’ll likely solve “TRAIN” first and then “LINEN” shouldn’t be too far behind, though you may waste a guess on the possibilities that the letters of “LINE” can be worked into for a five-letter word.

Otherwise, the majority of the letters in the solution are easily deduced by using the typical strategy of making your first several guesses words that contain all six vowels and the common consonants. This should get more than seventy percent of the letters in the solution validated in yellow or green.
