Final Fantasy XV How To Kill The Deadeye Behemoth Boss

Once you arrive at the Wiz Chocobo Post, there will be a new quest given to you by Wiz that involves defeating a giant Behemoth known only as Deadeye. You should take the bounty hunt called “A Behemoth Undertaking” before rolling off to complete this sidequest, as it will reward you with additional gil. The first part of this sidequest involves sneaking next to Deadeye and avoiding him seeing you. You can easily move behind the rocks and follow Deadeye slowly from behind.

Before the actual fight, you’ll want to make sure that you have plenty of Fire Magic absorbed and ready for use.

The strategy behind this battle is to lock onto the Behemoth’s head and wait for him to get near one of the fuel barrels. Once he’s within the vicinity of a barrel, using your Fire Magic will do damage to the nearby area and cause the barrel to explode. This will result in an increased amount of damage done to Deadeye, as opposed to fighting him with your weapons. Do not lock onto his body or you will miss your shot. In the case you run out of magic charges, you’ll just have to repeatedly Warp Strike the Behemoth until the fight is over.
