A handful of Google Stadia exclusives are on the chopping block with the sudden announcement that Google will be ending service to the platform on January 18, 2023. This has caught many game developers by surprise, particularly those who have their games currently slated for a Stadia release within the next six months. While many Stadia games are only timed exclusives and have already released on other platforms, there’s still a number of games that are only offered on Google Stadia and will be lost after the shutdown. And this is without any means of preservation, unless the developers are able to transfer them over to another platform like Steam or Amazon Luna.
