The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild features a world with several regions to explore. You spwn at the center, and after completing a short tutorial you can head in any direction of your choosing. This is an open world in every sense of the term, with an emphasis on exploration and discovery.
The map is estimated to be 5,300 acres in size, or roughly 1.5 Skyrim maps. That's larger than any Zelda world in history. Within this landmass are tons of activities to participate in, and secrets to find.
