Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Kass Where Location

Is Kass in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has many hints that Kass is in the game. We won’t go into these clues until after the spoiler alert break below. But it’s no surprise that many BotW and TotK fans want to know if everyone’s favorite parrot bard is somewhere in the game playing his accordion. Here’s whether Kass is in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Does Kass appear in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

Sadly, Kass is not in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, or at least he’s not in the base game.

There is evidence that Kass is in Tears of the Kingdom somewhere. In the game’s version of Rito Village, you can find his wife and kids, who are a little more grown up (about five years from the looks of it) in this sequel to Breath of the Wild. As a cool easter egg, Link will also hum the melody of Kass’s theme, along with other classic Zelda themes, when he’s cooking.

For additional evidence, a pelican called Penn, after completing a few of his quests, will also mention that he was inspired by a particular bard. On that note, there is another supposed screenshot going around where Penn says that he’s actually Kass, but more than several users on Reddit claim that this is just a hoax.

There are also rumors from other players that you can find Kass’s spirit somewhere in the depths, but we haven’t been able to verify this through screenshots. We imagine that someone on Twitter or YouTube would have provided evidence of this by now, so we’re dubious about this one.

That said, Nintendo may be saving Kass for Tears of the Kingdom DLC, particularly since he’s a major side character in The Champions’ Ballad, one of the main DLC quests for Breath of the Wild. It makes sense that the bard isn’t in this game because there are no Champions or Monuments around for him to talk about. But you would think that his wife and kids would say something about Kass if he passed away or something. So we think that Kass is most likely alive, and there’s a good chance we’ll see him in the game in the future.
