Hogwarts Legacy Sorting Hat Questions

Hogwarts Legacy House Sorting Questions: Do the Sorting Hat Answers Matter?

The house sorting questions in Hogwarts Legacy might have you nervous the first time the sorting hat asks them. After all, the house you get into is a big deal. However, once you answer them, you’ll see there’s nothing to worry about, but we do have which answers will lead you to be sorted into Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw.

What house does each sorting hat answer lead to in Hogwarts Legacy?

Hogwarts Legacy Sorting Hat Houses

The questions the sorting hat asks you in Hogwarts Legacy don’t matter. It’ll suggest a house for you based on the answers. However, you can choose your house if you’re unhappy with the suggestion.

When you meet the sorting hat in Hogwarts Legacy, it’ll ask you two questions (the first of which is indirect):

“You come here with preferences and preconceptions – certain expectations.”

You can answer with the following:

  • I can’t wait to start classes.
  • I can’t wait to explore.

Then it’ll ask:

“Hmm. I wonder. Hmm. I detect something in you. A certain sense of – hmm – what is it?”

To this, you can reply:

  • Daring
  • Curiosity
  • Loyalty
  • Ambition

After you answer both questions, the sorting hat recommends a house.

Most Harry Potter fans can easily guess which answers will lead to each house as they all have traits they’re known for:

  • Gryffindor: Daring, bravery, and chivalry.
  • Hufflepuff: Patience, loyalty, and hard work.
  • Ravenclaw: Intelligence, creativity, and wit.
  • Slytherin: Cunning, ambition, and a hunger for power.

The most important thing in Hogwarts Legacy is to ensure you’re happy about your choice. Once you’ve confirmed your house, there’s no going back!
