Tekken 8 Roster Leak: All Leaked Characters for 2023

Tekken 8 should release in late 2023 or early 2024, but few details have emerged about the roster of characters available to players. However, a recent leak has all but confirmed two returning characters.

Tekken 8’s leaked roster reveals new characters

Tekken 8’s new roster leak has seemingly revealed two characters making their way to the game. These are:

  • Yoshimitsu
  • Alex

While Bandai Namco hasn’t confirmed that these two characters will be in Tekken 8, the Japanese TV station NHK released a video showing some motion capture shots from Tekken 8’s development. Players have examined the movements and costumes of the actors and concluded that both Yoshimitsu and Alex will be in Tekken 8.

Of course, Tekken 8 may have reworked the animations of some characters, but the actor’s green tail at 12 seconds in is undoubtedly suggestive of Alex. Alex’s previous mainline experience was in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 back in 2011, whereas Yoshimisu has appeared in every main series game, including Tekken 7.

So far, Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima have been officially confirmed, thanks to their appearance in the game’s trailer. Nina Williams was also revealed through official channels earlier this month.

As the game’s development nears its end this year, we can expect more characters to be revealed through official channels and leaks. If Tekken 8 does release in 2024, then it will mark eight years since a main series Tekken game was released.
