Pokemon has been entertaining many of us for as long as we can remember, and now a new animated Netflix series is headed our way in 2023. Pokemon Concierge will introduce a new main character, and a peaceful setting, but what else should you know about the stop-motion Pokemon Netflix series? What is the release date for the Pokemon Concierge series on Netflix?
No official release date has yet been set for Pokemon Concierge. The stop-motion anime series is expected to debut on Netflix at some point in 2023, but neither the streaming platform, nor The Pokemon Company, have given any dates.
Pokemon Concierge Netflix series cast
Netflix has not yet made any announcement regarding the Pokemon Concierge cast. No voice actors have said that they are involved in the stop-motion Netflix series, but we should expect more news and reveals in the coming months, as we get closer to release.
What we do know is that the series comes from the creatives at animation studio Dwarf Studios. They are best-known for their stop-motion animated series Rilakkuma and Kaoru, two seasons of which are available to stream on Netflix.
What is Pokemon Concierge about?
The series will be set at the Pokemon Resort according to Netflix’s Vice President of Content, Asia Pacific (excluding India), Minyoung Kim. She also confirmed that it will “follow the story of our concierge, Haru, and the many Pokemon who visit as guests.”
Kim described the show as a marriage of “an entirely new storyline that expands the Pokemon universe with groundbreaking stop-motion animation.” This means that fans should expect to meet a number of new characters, as well as many fan-favorite Pokemon looking to relax at what appears to be a wellness retreat for the creatures.
The first teaser for the show introduced Haru, who stood alongside a Psyduck on the beach, looking up to the sky. If this is any indication as to what audiences should expect from the Netflix series, it could be a very peaceful and relaxing show, rather than one packed full of Pokemon battles and captures.
