Destiny 2 Lightfall Raid Release Date and Time: When Does Root of Nightmares Start?

The Destiny 2 Lightfall Raid release date and time will be a key moment on players’ calendars, as they level up their gear to be “Raid ready.” Named “The Root of Nightmares,” the new Season 20 Raid is sure to be a testing challenge for all that enter it, so it’s important to be prepared. How long do players have until the Raid begins? Here is the Destiny 2 Lightfall Raid start date and time.

Destiny 2 Root of Nightmares Time: When does the raid start?

Bungie has confirmed The Root of Nightmares raid is set to begin on March 10, 2023, at 9 AM PT.

Bungie has also confirmed a 48-hour-long Contest Mode period, which will cap players at a max Power Level for the raid and keep everyone at a level playing field when competing to be the first to complete the raid. The usual 24-hour length has been extended by a day in order to allow teams pursuing the emblem some extra time for breaks and for those with Friday commitments to have a chance to take part.
