Destiny 2 Reaper and Dynamo Mods Not Working: Have They Been Disabled?

The Destiny 2 Lightfall expansion overhauled the mod system and added many brand-new ones. However, players have noticed that the Reaper and Dynamo mods are not working and are wondering if they have been disabled.

Why aren’t Destiny 2’s Reaper and Dynamo Mods working?

Bungie has confirmed that these mods have been intentionally disabled due to “an issue.” While the developer hasn’t specified what this issue is, players have noted that these mods allowed them to exploit certain mechanics.

The Reaper mod, which spawned an Orb of Power after an attack, could be exploited to spawn infinite orbs of power for your team. The Dynamo mod, which reduces Super cooldown, allowed players to essentially remove cooldowns for some abilities.

There is no word from Bungie on when these mods will be enabled again. In the meantime, we recommend trying alternate builds until we get a patch. There are plenty of new exotic weapons to try out, so while these two mods have been disabled, you aren’t going to run out of new content any time soon.

The new Lightfall expansion included a new Raid to try out your new weapons and mods, but make sure you’ve reached the recommended Power Level before giving it a go.
