Dead Cells Ribboned Key Location: How To Unlock Maria Renard’s Door

Maria Renard’s door is a tricky one to unlock in Dead Cells‘ Return to Castlevania DLC, but with a bit of nimble feline foolery, the Ribboned Key can be yours. In this guide, we’ll go over the steps required to get Maria Renard’s outfit to add to the brand-new arsenal of unlockables in this love letter expansion to a beloved vampire-hunting franchise.

How to find the Dead Cells Ribboned Key location

To get the Ribboned Key, which unlocks Maria Renard’s door in the Castle Outskirts biome, you’ll need to do the following:

  1. Head to the Castle Outskirts.
  2. While progressing, watch for Maria’s Cat, who’ll suddenly jump onto the screen.
  3. Once prompted, quickly hold the Interact button while near Maria’s Cat to catch it and receive the Ribboned Key item.
  4. Locate Maria Renard’s door in the nearby Castle Outskirts area and unlock it to be able to speak to her.

Once unlocked, speaking to Maria Renard and exhausting her dialogue will earn you her outfit, but that’s not all — it’s time to pet the cat. Hitting the interact button near Maria’s sleeping furry friend will also earn you an equipable item.
