Resident Evil 4 Remake Open World

Is Resident Evil 4 Remake Open-World

Resident Evil 4 remake surprisingly does have some open-world elements. During one part in particular, the game opens up considerably, and you have free reign to take on your next destinations in whatever order you want or to explore optional areas. Here’s when you can expect to get a chance to free roam.

What parts of Resident Evil 4 remake are open-world?

Resident Evil 4 remake has a small open-world section in Chapter 4. After defeating Del Lago, Leon gets access to a boat, and you can explore the area around the lake at will. During this section, you have two mission objectives, and there are a few optional locations to check out.

During Chapter 4, you can also return to any part of the game you’ve visited up to that point. The original RE4 was pretty linear, so it’s surprising that you get this much freedom. It allows you to pick up treasures and items you might have missed and prepare for the next big section of the game.

However, don’t expect the open-world feel to last. While subsequent locations give you a chance to backtrack a little, you won’t get the same amount of freedom as having your own speedboat provides.
