Resident Evil 4 remake cuts the line from Luis about Ashley’s ballistics because the scene plays out a bit differently.
In the original game, the scene features these lines:
- Luis: I see that the president’s equipped his daughter with ballistics too.
- Ashley: How rude! And I don’t believe there’s any relevance with my figure and my standing. Who are you?
- Luis: Oh ho, excuse me, your highness.
While in the remake, the lines are:
- Luis: Eeyyy, I see you found your missing Seniorita.
- Ashley: Seniorita has a name, and it’s Ashley. And you are?
However, there’s a reason the line differs between the original and remake.
In the original, Leon and Luis have properly introduced themselves by the time this scene occurs. While they’re not best friends, they know enough about each other to feel comfortable joking around.
In the remake, they only talk briefly when they’re captured, and Luis ditches Leon while he’s still chained up and without his gear. So, when they meet again in the cabin, Leon shoves him against a wall and tries to get some answers about his identity. Understandably, Luis doesn’t pick this moment to comment about Ashley’s breasts.
