Resident Evil 4 remake Best Sniper Rifle

Resident Evil 4 Remake: Best Sniper Rifle Ranked

You’ll want the best sniper rifle in Resident Evil 4 remake if you want to engage enemies at long range. We’ll identify the rifles that are available, analyze their stats and upgrade options, and crown the winner.

For this guide, we compared the rifles using their max stats. Just note that they may perform differently if you haven’t maxed out their upgrades.

Resident Evil 4 remake: Best sniper rifle overall: Stingray

Resident Evil 4 Remake Stingray
  • Power: 4.90
  • Ammo Capacity: 18
  • Reload Speed: 1.18
  • Rate of Fire: 0.92
  • Precision: 5.40
  • Exclusive Upgrade: Increase rate of fire by 2x
  • Bonus Abilities:
    • 3x power against weak points
    • Penetrates through enemies

The Stingray is the best sniper rifle in Resident Evil 4 remake, not because it’s a great weapon, but because it’s the only rifle worth using. The SR M1903 is twice as powerful with its exclusive upgrade, but the Stingray fires twice as fast and doesn’t require Leon to take his eye away from the scope between shots. Besides, with the 3x power against weak points bonus, staying on target is more important than raw power.

Most powerful rifle: SR M1903

Resident Evil 4 Remake SR 1903
  • Power: 5.30 (Max Total: 10.60)
  • Ammo Capacity: 13
  • Reload Speed: 0.61
  • Rate of Fire: 0.53
  • Precision: 5.20
  • Exclusive Upgrade: 2x Power
  • Bonus Abilities:
    • 3x power against weak points
    • Penetrates through enemies

The SR M1903 has the potential to be the best rifle in RE4 remake if you practice with it. The slow rate of fire and reload are two significant strikes against it, but it’s extremely powerful when fully upgraded and deals comparable damage to a magnum if you hit an enemy at a weak point. So, if you’re looking for raw DPS potential, this gun is worth looking at.

Most powerful automatic weapon: CQBR Assault Rifle

Resident Evil 4 Remake CQBR
  • Power: 3.40 (Max Total: 6.80)
  • Ammo Capacity: 32
  • Reload Speed: 1.25
  • Rate of Fire: 2.50
  • Precision: 5.00
  • Exclusive Upgrade: 1.5x Power
  • Bonus Abilities:
    • 3x power against weak points
    • Penetrates through enemies

If the CQBR Assault Rifle could be switched to single-shot, it’d be the best rifle in the game. It has excellent ammo capacity and reload speed and is more powerful than the Stingray. However, it being an automatic weapon is a big strike against it. Rifle Ammo is rare enough that firing it in automatic is wasteful and makes no sense, and the CQBR tends to fire at least two rounds with even the slightest pressure on the trigger.
