Resident Evil 4 remake Get Leons Gear Back Chapter 2

Resident Evil 4 Remake: How to Get Leon’s Gear Back in Chapter 2

Leon loses his gear when he gets captured at the end of Chapter 1 in Resident Evil 4 remake. So understandably, you’ll want to find the fastest way of getting it back. Fortunately, figuring out how to get Leon’s gear back is easier than it seems.

How to get your guns back after Leon gets captured in Resident Evil 4 remake

To get Leon’s gear back at the start of Chapter 2 in Resident Evil 4 remake, you’ll need to navigate a bit of a maze. To get back your guns, follow these steps:

  1. Leave the room you start in and walk down the hall.
  2. Follow the hall until you reach the corpse, and then grab the Kitchen Knife.
  3. Climb the stairs and exit out of the nearby door.
  4. Then, stealth kill the Ganado there.
  5. Head through the door near him and kill another Ganado.
  6. Look for the doorway to the room containing Leon’s gear. In front of it are two beartraps.
  7. Use your knife to trip the beartraps.
  8. Keep going past the room with the gear (but remember where it is), and look right to see some broken window frames you can jump through.
  9. Jump through the window frame, then wait until the Ganado in the next hallway moves past you.
  10. Jump through the hole in the wall and stealth kill him.
  11. Go down the hallway he was patrolling, and you’ll find a set of double doors leading outside. (You’ll meet the Merchant for the first time here).
  12. Nearby, there’s a barred doorway with a valve handle next to it.
  13. Turn the valve handle and get ready to sprint back to the door to the room with Leon’s Gear.
  14. Run back toward the room and jump through the broken wall and window frame from earlier to get there quicker.

You should get to the gear room before the bars can close. If not, head back to the valve and try again. Once you enter the room, you can interact with Leon’s Gear and get all your weapons and items back from earlier. Next, you can head through the door opposite the one you entered to reach the double doors leading outside. Now enjoy your first meeting with the Merchant in Resident Evil 4 remake.
