Fortnite Best Assault Rifle: Which AR Is Most Powerful and OP?

Choosing the best assault rifle in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 can be tricky, as there are many great ARs to choose from and some are easier to get than others. Not everyone can get the most powerful and OP Overclocked Pulse Rifle and so must look for a non-Mythic alternative. Below you’ll find the best assault rifles in Fortnite.

Fortnite Best Assault Rifle Overall: Overlocked Pulse Rifle

  • Damage: 57 ADS and 38 hipfire
  • Fire Rate: 3.5 ADS and 7 hipfire
  • Magazine Size: 20
  • Critical Hit Multiplier: 1.5x

The Overclocked Pulse Rifle is the best assault rifle overall in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. It dishes out incredible damage and is proficient at all but the longest ranges. It’s considered “OP” (overpowered) by much of the community and a nerf is expected to hit soon.

The downside to this weapon is that it is tough to get. It’s only available from Spawn Island after capturing and defending the point.

Fortnite Best Non-Mythic Assault Rifle: Red-Eye Assault Rifle

  • Damage: 32 (Common)/40 (Legendary)
  • Fire Rate: 3.5
  • Magazine Size: 25
  • Critical Hit Multiplier: 1.65x

The best non-Mythic assault rifle in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is the Red-Eye Assault Rifle. This AR boasts extremely good accuracy over longer ranges. Even the common variant can dish out a lot of damage, though rarer variants do become significantly more lethal, with the Legendary version capable of dealing 140 damage per second.
