Resident Evil 4 Remake Riot Gun vs Striker Comparison

Resident Evil 4 Remake Riot Gun vs. Striker: Which Shotgun Is Better?

Choosing between the Resident Evil 4 Remake Riot Gun and Striker as the better shotgun can be tough. Both are fairly expensive to upgrade to their fullest potential, so it’s no surprise that many players want to know which gun they should spend their time and pesetas on. While deciding between these two guns will depend in part to your particular playstyle, there is one that is the better overall weapon. Here’s whether the Riot Gun or the Striker is the better shotgun in the RE4 Remake.

Is the Striker or Riot Gun better in Resident Evil 4 Remake?

The Riot Gun is the better overall shotgun over the Striker.

As detailed in our guide for the best shotgun, the Riot Gun has a good range for its weapon type and incredible power. This makes it very versatile for both mid-range and close-range combat. The exclusive upgrade then boosts the Riot Gun’s power by an additional 50%, so it’s hard to go wrong by choosing this.

The Striker, on the other hand, just has too much of a spread for it to be as useful as it is in the original RE4. Ammo is sparse in the game, so using shotgun shells on this rapid-fire gun isn’t terribly efficient.

That said, if you treat the Striker almost as a melee weapon, then it can wreck enemies up close and personal. The gun’s extended ammo capacity will let you deal a ton of damage to bosses if you find an opening, but you do risk getting smacked by a swift counterattack.
