Overwatch 2 Lightweaver Release Date: When is the New Hero Coming Out?

Fans are wondering exactly when the Overwatch 2 Lightweaver release date will be. This new hero is a support-type addition to the roster, who be making their debut soon. Here’s what we know about their upcoming arrival, along with the start of Overwatch competitive mode’s Season 4.

What is the release date for Overwatch 2, Season 4’s new hero Lightweaver?

Lightweaver is scheduled to release in Overwatch 2 on the same day as Season 4, April 11, 2023. They will be the fifth new hero to join the roster since the launch of the Overwatch sequel, following another support hero’s addition late last year.

Details surrounding Lightweaver are currently scarce, but the official Overwatch Twitter account promised that we can expect to learn more about the hero tomorrow (April 4, 2023). This will probably also be when the start date for Season 4 of competitive mode is officially announced.

The first-look image shows Lifeweaver in possession of some sort of flower, with floral details also clear in their outfit, and teased in the tweet’s caption.

Hopefully, the hero’s addition won’t cause the Overwatch 2 servers to collapse again, forcing players to join a virtual queue to get back online.
