FFXIV System Error 503

FFXIV System Error 503: How to fix FF14 on PC

The FFXIV system error 503 is a reoccurring issue that typically appears after players start the game on PC. As one of the most popular MMOs, FF14 has times when there is a lot of traffic, causing a lot of server overload. This can result in a pop-up upon startup for Final Fantasy 14 with the message “A system error has occurred: 503. HTTPS System Error” that the user is forced to close. Here’s how to fix this bug and reestablish a connection to the game.

How to fix FFXIV System Error 503

The main method to fix FFXIV system error 503 is to exit the game fully and restart the launcher to try and log in again.

We recommend trying to get into the game once every five minutes or so, on the off-chance that you might enter the queue during peak times.

As a reminder, Error 503 has little to do with your particular PC despite it saying it’s a system error. It typically occurs when there are too many players in the queue, which happens normally during times of high activity, like when there’s a new expansion, update, or patch.
