If you’re wanting to download XDefiant on Xbox PS5, PS4, or Switch, there’s some bad news. Ubisoft is making this a current-gen-only game; no last-gen version is in production. Fortunately, if you do have an Xbox Series X|S or PS5, it’s easy to download and install the beta if you have access.
How to download XDefiant on Xbox Series X|S and PS5
Before you can download XDefiant on Xbox Series X|S and PS5, you need to get access to the closed beta. There are four ways you can do so:
- Register at playxdefiant.com
- Watch partnered Twitch channels and get a drop.
- Receive a code from a Ubisoft creator, partner, or community member.
- Get invited by someone who already has access.
Once you’ve redeemed your XDefiant beta code, you’ll get further instructions on how to access it on your console. To download it on Xbox and PS5, you must link your Xbox Live or PSN account to your Ubisoft account. Then, redeem the code Ubisoft sends you in the store and install the beta like a typical game.
How to download XDefiant on PS4 or Switch
Unfortunately, XDefiant isn’t available on PS4 or Switch. As stated above, it’s a current-gen-only game, and Ubisoft hasn’t announced plans to bring it to last-gen platforms.
