Star Wars Jedi: Survivor: How to Use the Floating Balloon Platforms

You’ll encounter floating balloon platforms early on in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. These balloons can help you launch to otherwise inaccessible areas, but you can’t use them the first time you see them. In fact, you’ll have to wait quite a while before you can latch onto the floating platforms.

How to use the floating platforms in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

You need the Upgraded Ascension Cable to use the floating balloon platforms in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. You’ll get it as part of the story, but not until later in the game. In Chapter 5.1, Cal finds the part he needs to make it in the Republic Research Laboratory on the Shattered Moon. From then on, expect the floating platforms to be regularly added to the game’s repertoire of obstacles.

However, you’ll encounter the floating balloon platforms as early as Chapter 2. They’re scattered throughout Koboh, and they’ll be taunting you for hours before you figure out how to use them. The ability to latch on them and leap off for a significant aerial boost is one of the last you’ll get in the game. By the time you can use the floating platforms in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, you’ll have mastered all the obstacles the game has to offer.
