Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: How to Repair Weapons

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom takes lots of inspiration from its predecessor, but many wonder if repairing weapons will be part of the latest Zelda game. Weapon durability was a controversial feature in Breath of the Wild, so here’s what we know about repairing weapons so far.

Can you repair weapons in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

You cannot repair weapons in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. As you use weapons, they will lose durability and eventually break. While this is the same feature in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, there’s a new trick this time that can improve your weapon’s durability.

While the base durability of weapons cannot be improved, you can make them last longer with the Fuse Zonai power. This power lets you combine two weapons to increase their durability and can be acquired near the beginning of the game. The Fuse power can also be used to add additional effects to weapons, e.g., attach Chuchu jelly to arrows for elemental effects.

The new Zonai powers are one of the most prominent features of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but you won’t need to use them to repair the Master Sword or get Epona.
