Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Ultimate Weapons: Best Weapon for Each Job

Each job has an ultimate weapon in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, but there’s a catch. Each of these seven-star weapons has to be crafted from a five-star weapon, which is not easy to find. Fortunately, we found all of these and the best way to get the other materials needed to craft the ultimate weapons in Infinite Wealth, like crystals, Empty Cough Drop Tins, Shark Fins, and Squid Tentacles.

How to get all Ultimate Weapons in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

You have to use crafting to get each job’s ultimate weapon in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. First, you must obtain each five-star “job weapon” (which shares its name with the job). Then, you’ll need to grab several rare crafting materials. Finally, you’ll have to have the cash and upgrade Julia’s Gearworks to the final level before you can finally craft the seven-star ultimate weapons. Crafting the best weapon for each job is a chore, and you’ll need to grind quite a bit to get the materials you need to do so. We’re going to show you the easy way to do this below:

Best way to get Crystals

You’ll start picking up crystals as loot from enemies around ¾ of the way through the game. However, you’ll likely need to distill some from fragments and geodes to get the amount you need. Fortunately, you can purchase every type of Fragment at the General Goods Cart in the northeast corner of Hamakita Park in Isezaki Ijincho, then use them to make geodes and, finally, crystals of the type you need to craft the ultimate weapon of your choice. It costs quite a bit of money to use this method. Still, you’ll be making plenty as you grind the Hawaii or Yokohama Underground to get points to purchase Empty Cough Drop Tins with.

• For reference, it takes 10 Fragments to make a Geode and 10 Geodes to make a Crystal.
• At ¥8,000 or $80 per Fragment, each Crystal will cost you ¥800,000 or $8,000.
• Since you need 15 Crystals to upgrade each weapon, you’re looking at ¥12,000,000 or $120,000 worth of Fragments for each.

Best way to get Empty Cough Drop Tin

The only way I’ve found to get Empty Cough Drop Tins in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is by purchasing them at the Hawaii or Yokohama Underground for 2,000 points. Fortunately, it doesn’t take long to accrue this many points and you only need one Empty Cough Drop Tin per ultimate weapon.

Best way to get Shark Fins and Squid Tentacles

You can also get Shark Fins and Squid Tentacles at the Hawaii and Yokohama Underground exchanges, but they cost an enormous number of points. Fortunately, there’s a way cheaper way to get them. Head to one of the fishermen in Isezaki Ijincho or Hawaii and pay them ¥100 or $1 to use their pole. Keep fishing over and over and you’ll eventually catch both Shark Fins and Squid Tentacles. They’re rare, but it takes way less time to get them this way than to grind the Undergrounds for the amount of points they cost.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Ultimate Weapon Crafting Recipe List

Before you can craft a seven-star ultimate weapon in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, you must get the prerequisite five-star weapon. For character-specific jobs (Hero, Detective, Homeless Guy, Cabbie, etc.) these weapons are obtained by finishing a party member’s drink links. For other jobs, you’ll need to get them from the appropriate crown mob. There are some caveats to all this though:

• You must upgrade Julia’s Gearworks to Lv. 4 before you can craft ultimate weapons.
• You must pay ¥14,000,000 or $140,000 to craft each seven-star weapon.
• Crown mobs do not drop five-star weapons until you reach Chapter 9.

Below, we’ve listed the locations where we found each class weapon. However, there are other places you can get them. We’ve had them drop in random cases before, and some are available for purchase. Additionally, these aren’t guaranteed to drop from crown mobs. You may have to defeat them more than once to obtain your target weapon.
