Is Tears of the Kingdom the last Zelda Game

Is Tears of the Kingdom the Last Zelda Game?

There seems to be a bit of confusion about whether Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the last Zelda game. Some are taking that to mean that no more games are being made in the series. However, that’s not the case. We’ll explain what people mean when they say it’s the last Zelda game below.

Will there be more Zelda games after Tears of the Kingdom?

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom isn’t the last Zelda game to be made. There’s no indicator that Nintendo is done with the series. When people say TotK is the last Zelda game, they’re talking in reference to the franchise’s chronology. So far, it’s the latest game on the timeline, and it and Breath of the Wild take place thousands of years after the rest of the series.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom represents the furthest point in the Zelda universe’s history. However, this doesn’t mean that Nintendo will stop creating new entries for the franchise, but rather that future games might take place within the established timeline, potentially filling gaps or exploring different narratives. The Zelda chronology is pretty loose anyway, so it doesn’t really matter when they happen. Almost all of the games are self-contained experiences anyway.

So, don’t worry; Zelda will go on for years to come. Tears of the Kingdom is the latest game in the series and the timeline, but it’s far from the last.
