Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Lost Woods Fog

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Lost Woods: How to Get Past the Fog in Great Hyrule Forest

The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Lost Woods is covered in a suffocating fog that will envelop Link in the Great Hyrule Forest. Like the Lost Woods in past Zelda games, the mist in TotK will cover Link and transport him back to the entrance if he stays there too long. The solution to this is not to try and brute-force your way through the veil, but instead to get through the Depths beneath to reach Korok Forest that’s located at the center of the forest maze. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to get through the Lost Woods in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

How to get past the fog in the Lost Woods in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

To get through the fog in the Lost Woods in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll need to head to theDdepths by way of the Minshi Woods Chasm, hopefully with a few Brightbloom seeds or another light source in hand. Here’s a list of directions to reach the Korok Forest at heart of the Lost Woods:

  1. Along the path toward the Lost Woods, go to the Minshi Woods Chasm located at coordinates 1063, 1655, 0167.
  2. Drop down through the chasm and go northwest toward where the Korok Forest is.
  3. Use Brightbloom seeds wherever you need to avoid getting gloom damage and to light your path forward.
  4. After finding the ogre trees, which you can identify by the large faces carved into them, climb to the top of them.
  5. Several large poes will then show you a path toward a lightroot.
  6. Reach the Rikonasum Lightroot at coordinates 0410, 2131, -592 and stand on the stone platform.
  7. Use the Ascend ability to get up to the Korok Forest.

From there, we recommend cooking some sundelion meals and having a good amount of bomb flowers and arrows, because from here you’ll need to clear Korok Forest of the gloom.
