Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Great Abandoned Central Mine Location How to Reach

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Great Abandoned Central Mine Location: Where to Find Autobuild

The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Great Abandoned Central Mine is one of the most important locations in the depths. It’s possible to find the mine’s location just by exploring the underground world in TotK, but many players will likely seek out this landmark to complete the “A Mystery in the Depths” questline that is started by talking to Josha and Robbie at Lookout Landing. It’s in this place that Link will learn the useful Autobuild ability to make building crafts a breeze. Here’s how to reach the Great Abandoned Central Mine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

What is the location of the Great Abandoned Central Mine?

The exact location of the Great Abandoned Central Mine is coordinates 0822, -1940, -0523. It can be reached in multiple ways using different chasms.

It’s up to you which nearby chasm you want to use to reach the mine. One options is the Great Plateau North Chasm at coordinates -0665, -1510, -0051. This is close to the Nogukoyk Lightroot, which is just slightly southwest to the chasm. Heading southwest will get you to the mine.

Another option is to hop into the chasm south of Lookout Landing, which is the same one that the quest “Camera Works in The Depths” will bring Link to. From here, you can find the Nisoji Lightroot instead. Moving southwest from here will also lead to the mine fairly quickly.

Once you find a towering stone structure, you will have found the Great Abandoned Central Mine. Inside are several researchers as well as a Steward Construct. If you’ve been brought here as part of “A Mystery in the Depths” questline, then speaking with the Construct will have Link learn the Autobuild ability through the Schema Stone but also bring about a minor boss fight against Master Kohga.

After you’re done with the battle, you can explore the mine further, which has a Bargainer Statue and a Forge Construct. It’s also a good place to find Zonai Charges and Crystallized Charges in case you ever get low on those resources.
