Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Master Sword Damage

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom How Much Damage Does the Master Sword Do?: Master Sword Stats Explained

In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Master Sword does 30 damage in its base form. Strangely, unlike every other weapon, the Master Sword doesn’t show its attack stat in your inventory. However, testing shows that despite being powered up for eons, it does the same amount of damage that it does in Breath of the Wild.

What’s the Master Sword damage stat in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

The base form of the Master Sword does 30 damage in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Its attack stat is the same as it is when you pull it from its pedestal in Breath of the Wild. It seems a bit odd that this is the case since a major part of the story centers around Zelda turning into the Light Dragon to repair and power up the sword. After thousands of years, one would think it’d be more powerful than it was previously, but that’s not the case.

Fortunately, in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you can boost the Master Sword’s damage output by fusing it with materials. It gets the same stat increase that any other weapon does. With its base attack stat of 30, you can make it into one of the best damage dealers in the game. Additionally, you can add elemental damage to the sword if you use the correct items. Fusion also adds even more durability to it, which means it’ll likely become your primary weapon once you acquire it.

Fortunately, even when the sword runs out of durability, it doesn’t take long for it to get back into action. After a relatively short recharge period, it becomes usable again. It also has the ability in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to fire a bolt of energy when Link’s hearts are full. This makes it a great mid-range replacement for the bow.
