Final Fantasy 16 How to Get Never Coming Down Trophy

Final Fantasy 16 Never Coming Down Trophy: How to Land Gouge, Wicked Wheel, and Rook’s Gambit in Midair Before Landing

To get the Never Coming Down trophy in Final Fantasy 16, you have to land Gouge, Wicked Wheel, and Rook’s Gambit on an enemy in midair before landing. It sounds pretty simple, but getting this trophy to trigger is tricky because the description doesn’t tell you all the restrictions you must follow to earn it. Fortunately, we’ve found a way to get the Never Coming Down trophy to pop in FF16 every time.

How to get the Never Coming Down trophy in Final Fantasy 16

To get the Never Coming Down trophy in Final Fantasy 16, you must hit an enemy with Gouge, Wicked Wheel, and Rooks Gambit in midair before it hits the ground. What the trophy description doesn’t tell you is that you can only use these three attacks when executing the combo.

Additionally, while these skills come from Garuda’s skill tree, you can’t equip all three of them to Garuda at once. You’ll have to master at least one of them so you can set it to another Eikon.

We recommend you set up Garuda in the first Eikon slot and equip Wicked Wheel and Gouge to it. Then, ensure Rook’s Gambit is mastered and equip it to whatever Eikon is in the second slot.

Once you’ve got your moves set up, find your target. Your best bet is to seek out a large, slow enemy, which will maximize your chances of hitting it.

Now, follow this sequence to get the Never Coming Down trophy in FF16:

  1. Jump and trigger Wicked Wheel at the peak of your vertical movement.
  2. The enemy should now be launched into the air, and you can trigger Gouge to juggle them.
  3. As Gouge executes, switch to the second Eikon slot and get ready to trigger Rook’s Gambit when the animation ends.

You should see the Never Coming Down trophy pop if you executed the combo correctly. If not, wait for your cooldowns to end and give it another shot.
