Does Pikmin 4 have Bulbmin and Puffmin

Pikmin 4: Are Bulbmin or Puffmin in the Game?

Fans are wondering if Bulbmin and Puffmin are making a return in Pikmin 4. These two odd types of Pikmin have unique mechanics and represent the darker side of the species. These weird variants are community favorites, and many hoped they’d find a place in the franchise’s latest outing. We’ll take a look at whether Puffmin and Bulbmin made it into Pikmin 4 below.

Are Bulbmin in Pikmin 4?

Bulbmin aren’t in Pikmin 4. While Bulborbs make a return, none of them are parasitized, and there are no juvenile members of the species you can add to your entourage.

Unlike other types of Pikmin, Bulbmin are parasites that infect Bulborbs. Adult Bulbmin take the form of a Bulborb with a large step and leaf sprouting from its back. Typically, it’ll be leading up to 10 juvenile Bulborbs, and you can add them to your squad by whistling at them once you take out the adult.

This species only appeared in Pikmin 2, where they are highly desirable. Bulbmin are immune to fire, water, electricity, and poison, which makes them very versatile compared to the other types of Pikmin. Unfortunately, they’ve only featured in that game so far.

Are Puffmin in Pikmin 4?

Puffmin, also known as Toadmin and Mushroom Pikmin, also aren’t in Pikmin 4. These creepy critters are the result of Puffstool spores taking control of a Pikmin. When this happens, they take on a sickly purple hue, their pupils disappear, and they become hostile to the player. Fortunately, you have a chance to save them by hitting them with a normal Pikmin, but sometimes they’ll die. Unfortunately, Puffmin remain exclusive to the original game for now.

While Bulbmin and Puffmin may be absent in Pikmin 4, their unique mechanics and eerie charm remain a standout in the Pikmin franchise. Though they are missed, the game introduces a few species of Pikmin that you won’t want to miss out on.
