Remnant 2 Thaen Seed

Remnant 2 Thaen Seed: Should You Plant It or Give It to Red Throne Queen?

The Remnant 2 Thaen Seed can be used in two ways by the player: planting it in the ground or handing it over to the queen of the Red Throne. This can be a difficult choice since the game doesn’t really tell you what happens to the seed either way. Getting the Thaen Seed is hard enough as it is, requiring you to find it past an illusory wall in the castle at The Widow’s Court. This only puts more pressure on making the right decision, so here’s what you should do with the Thaen Seed in Remnant 2.

How should you use the Thaen Seed in Remnant 2

The Thaen Seed should be taken to a small gardening plot in Ward 13 and planted in the ground, instead of giving it to the queen at the Red Throne.

More Remnant 2

This is because the seed will eventually grow into a tree over the course of the game, after you check on it a few times. This Thaen Tree will bear fruit named the “Mature Thaen Fruit” with the powerful ability to revive you in tight spots. In fact, it’s essentially an auto-revive. After you consume the fruit, you will automatically be healed if your fall in battle, restoring your health by 30% and making you immune to status effects for 30 seconds.

That’s an extremely powerful healing item to help you survive the toughest bosses in Remnant 2. Even better, the fruit can also be left to age, which will slightly enhance the fruit’s effects.

Alternatively, if you choose to give the Thaen Seed to the queen instead, it will pacify all of the Pan Warriors, which is not particularly useful in the long run. You will also be given a ring called Burden of the Rebel, which reduces skill cooldowns by 15% with the trade-off of reducing relic use speed by 25%. This isn’t a bad effect, but there are better rings in the game.
