The Baldur’s Gate 3 Adamantine Forge can be used to create a list of many powerful items. However, you need to find all of the moulds for weapons and armor around the Grymforge in order to make them in the first place. And it’s very easy to miss them since there are six moulds in the area, and you might be distracted by the Forge Boss Grym. After that, you can find the two mithril ore veins, extracting the ore so that you can create two of the six adamantine items available by using the Crucible at the Adamantine Forge. Here’s a list of every adamantine item you can craft at the Adamantine Forge and where you can find their associated mould in BG3.
Where to find Baldur’s Gate 3 Adamantine Forge moulds
The following is a detailed breakdown of where you can find every Adamantine Forge mould and a description of all of the Adamantine Forge items. You’ll find the Reeling trait on all of the adamantine items below, a status effect that gives a -1 penalty to attack rolls for the duration.
- Adamantine Mace – This mace has the Swift Hitter trait that can send a target Reeling for 1 turn and gives the Concussive Smash ability.
- Mace Mould – This can be found on a table close to the Ancient Forge waypoint at X -617, Y 282.
- Adamantine Longsword – This sword has the Versatile Hitter trait that can send a target Reeling for 1 or 2 turns depending on whether you use the weapon with one or two hands. It also grants the Rush Attack, Lacerate, and Pommel Strike abilities.
- Longsword Mould – This is found near a stairwell at coordinates X -628, Y 408. You’ll need to destroy an obstacle around the docks to reach it.
- Adamantine Scale Mail – This medium armor reduces all incoming damage by 1 and sends attackers Reeling for 2 turns if they hit you using a melee attack. The wearer also cannot be critically hit.
- Scale Mail Mould – This is found close to the Ancient Forge waypoint are some Animated Armor guards near coordinates X -615, Y 267.
- Adamantine Splint Armour – This heavy armor reduces all incoming damage by 2 and sends attackers Reeling for 3 turns if they hit you using a melee attack. Like the Scale Mail, it also protects the wearer from being critically hit.
- Splint Mould – Also found close to the Ancient Forge waypoint, this mould is found left of it near the staircase at coordinates X -598, Y 309.
- Adamantine Scimitar – Like the mace, this scimitar also has the Swift Hitter trait that sends targets Reeling for 1 turn. In contrast, it has the Flourish and Lacerate abilities.
- Scimitar Mould – This mould is looted from a skeleton near some lever controls at coordinates X -607, Y 322.
- Adamantine Shield – This shield sends an attacker Reeling for 2 turns if they miss an attack on the wielder. The wearer also is immune to critical hits and has the Shield Bash ability, which allows you to use a reaction to knock enemies prone on a failed Dex saving throw if they hit the wearer with a melee attack.
- Shield Mould – This mould can also be found as loot on a skeleton in the Dorms section of the Grymforge at coordinates X -556, Y 408.
Since there are only two mithril ore veins in the area, you can only make two of the items above.
We recommend crafting any two of the three adamantine armor pieces; that is, the Shield, Scale Mail, and Splint Armour. This is because being immune to critical hits is a fantastic armor trait that will help your party survive through the rest of the game. The adamantine weapons, on the other hand, will likely be replaced with other options.
