Baldur's Gate 3 Dog Collar BG3 Location Button Arcane Tower

Baldur’s Gate 3 Dog Collar Location: Where to Find Button for Free Food

The Baldur’s Gate 3 Dog Collar is a seemingly mundane amulet that can be found in the Underdark. Its location isn’t too tough to find in the area, so long as you have all of the enemies cleared. But there is a secondary use for the dog collar where you can use it to press a button in the Arcane Tower. Here’s where you can find the Dog Collar and what to do with it in BG3.

Where to find Baldur’s Gate 3 Dog Collar

The Dog Collar can be found at a tombstone in the Underdark at coordinates X -42, Y -211.

The closest waypoint there is in the Underdark near the Sussur Tree. You’ll likely need to wipe out or sneak around the Dark Horrors in the area to make sure you reach the grave in one piece. Once you’re at the headstone, you can interact with it and then dig the grave up to find the Dog Collar.

Where to use Baldur’s Gate 3 Dog Collar in Arcane Tower

You can use the Dog Collar on the second floor of the Arcane Tower; that is, the floor above the main entranceway.

You’ll need a Sussur Bloom to activate the tower elevator of course. Then in the corner of the second floor, there is a button below a window sill. If no character is wearing the dog collar as you walk past, a party member will note that the dog collar is vibrating. Putting it on and clicking the button will dispense a Rare Steak, which provides 10 camp supplies. You can find the fantastic Chest of the Mundane on this floor as well.

Unfortunately, unlike in Early Access, having other people wear the Dog Collar will not trick the button and you can only get one Rare Steak from it. You also can’t take a long rest to reset this meat dispenser. The magic of the button apparently runs out upon a single use. From that point, you can sell the Dog Collar or toss it into camp storage.
