Mortal Kombat 1 Seasonal Kredits Expire: Do My MK1 Seasonal Kredits Carry Over?

Knowing if the Mortal Kombat 1 Seasonal Kredits expire would notify players if they should save up for next season. Not everything item in the seasonal store will be appealing to everyone, so some may want to stack up for another day. Here’s whether or not your MK1 Seasonal Kredits carry over to the new season.

Do your MK1 Seasonal Kredits carry over to the next season?

Your Seasonal Kredits in Mortal Kombat 1 do not carry over to the next season. According to lead QA analyst Stephanie Brownback, Seasonal Kredits will reset after every season. That means the second season (which was datamined to be themed around Halloween) will start everyone out with nothing, and is something that’s likely to repeat in the future. Because of this, players are encouraged to spend them all before the season wraps up.

Each season is about two months and there will be, according to lead designer Derek Kirtzic, a week between seasons. However, it is unlikely that you will be able to spend Seasonal Kredits during that downtime. Kirtzic also noted that these seasonal items won’t come back until that specific season does.

More Mortal Kombat 1

The shop is full of different types of items to buy with Seasonal Kredits. There are gear pieces worth 250 Seasonal Kredits. Skins aren’t as uniformly priced, as some are worth 1,000 Seasonal Kredits, others are 1,500, and a handful of the more elaborate ones are 4,000 Seasonal Kredits.

Brownback also confirmed that Krowns, the Invasion-specific currency, will also not get imported into following seasons and told players that there was “no reason to hoard.” Koins, the mode-agnostic currency, does not expire and will be something players can keep without having to spend it every season. However, there is currently only one use for Koins: dumping them in the Dragon Shrine in order to unlock skins, palettes, gear, concept art, and more.
