MW3 Beta Level Cap Max Modern Warfare 3

MW3 Beta Level Cap: What Is The Max Level? [Update]

The MW3 beta level cap is something Call of Duty players want to know. Like prior Modern Warfare betas, there’s a fixed max level that players can’t go past to make sure that everyone on all platforms are at a level playing field, by at least near the end of the beta. It also seems like this level cap will be likely change as the Modern Warfare 3 beta continues onto its second weekend starting October 12. But for now, here’s what the level cap is for the MW3 open beta for PS5 and PS4 during its first weekend.

What is the MW3 beta level cap?

[Update] The MW3 beta level cap has been pushed to Level 30 for the second weekend, lasting from October 12 to October 16. The original story follows below.

[Original] The level cap is Level 20 for the first weekend of the MW3 beta from October 6 to October 10, but it is expected to increase during the second half of the beta.

We surmise that this is the case because an official Call of Duty blog states that Level 20 is “the initial level cap” that is meant for players to “get a feel for the game.” The blog also makes several mentions that the maximum level of 20 is specific to the first weekend, so we feel assured that it will be increased eventually. It would also make sense to extend this level cap, perhaps to Level 30 or 40, during the second weekend so that PlayStation players who have already reached the cap will have a sense of progression in the latter half.

Of course, this will make the hill a bit steeper for Xbox and PC players when they join the crossplay part of the beta on October 12, but it shouldn’t take too long of them to gain enough experience points to reach whatever the new level cap will be. The October 12 date is specific to the early access portion of the crossplay beta, with the beta opening to all players starting October 14. The MW3 beta will then conclude on October 16.
