Super Mario Wonder Hidden Exit Locations Secret Flagpoles

Super Mario Wonder Hidden Exits: Which Levels Have Secret Flagpoles?

There are several Super Mario Wonder hidden exits to find, just as previous entries in the series did. These secret flagpoles can lead to hidden Wonder Seeds, new levels, or even paths to new worlds. The secret exits aren’t highlighted on the course screen, so the only way to find them is to keep thoroughly explore the game and keep an eye out for anything suspicious.

You can find seven hidden flagpoles in Super Mario Wonder, which is less than some of the past entries in the series. In Super Mario World, for example, there are 24 secret exits scattered around the map. Luckily, there are enough regular levels that the lower amount of hidden flagpoles isn’t necessarily a negative.

World 1: Piranha Plants on Parade Secret Exit

Super Mario Wonder Hidden Exit World 1 Piranha Plants on Parade

To get to the hidden exit in Piranha Plants on Parade, play through the level until you reach three pipes jutting out of a piece of land floating through the air. It’s easy to spot if you already know the level layout, as it’s located right above where the Wonder Seed you get from the Wonder Flower spawns.

It can be a bit tricky to pull this off, but you can use the musical blocks to the right to bounce on top of the land with the pipes. Once you make it up there, head left, and you’ll find a red pipe. Enter it, and you’ll be taken to the foreground. Now, head right, and you can run right past the original flagpole. When you spot a green pipe, use it to be transported to the hidden exit.

World 1: Bulrush Coming Through! Secret Exit

Super Mario Wonder Hidden Exit World 1 Bulrush on Parade

Getting to the secret exit in this course is easy. Basically, if you use the Wonder Flower, the first exit in the level will be destroyed by the stampede, and you’ll have to leave through the second one. So, you’ll need to play through the course and ignore the Wonder Flower to exit through the first one.

World 1: Bulrush Express Secret Exit

Super Mario Wonder Hidden Exit World 1 Bulrush Express

You’ll need to be in Elephant Form to get to this hidden exit. Ride the stampede, and then jump off and head to where you get the Wonder Seed. Then, instead of traveling through the red pipe, use the Elephant form’s trunk to smash through the blocks to the right. There, you’ll find a yellow pipe that’ll take you to the secret exit.

World 2: Outmaway Valley Secret Exit

Super Mario Wonder Hidden Exit World 2 Outmyway Valley

The Outmaway Valley hidden flagpole works similarly to the one in Bulrush Coming Through! If you use the Wonder Flower, the avalanche will destroy the first exit, forcing you to leave through the second one. So, to get both exits, you’ll once again have to play through the level and use the Wonder Flower, and then play again without using it.

World 4: Secret of Shova Mansion Secret Exit

Super Mario Wonder Hidden Exit World 4 Secret of Shova Valley

Play the level until you head through a door and enter an area containing a Shova standing on six breakable blocks. You need to break the six blocks and then roll the nearby green block into it. Once you do, a gold pipe will spawn. Head through it and run right until you reach a second gold pipe. Travel down it and continue right, and you’ll find the hidden exit.

World 6: Where the Rrrumbas Rule Secret Exit

Super Mario Wonder Hidden Exit World 6 Where the Rrrumbas Rule

Before you attempt to find this hidden flagpole in Super Mario Wonder, make sure you have access to the Drill form. You’ll need to process through the level until you reach a part where you can kick down a rock that’ll crash into and break a bunch of blocks. You’ll be able to see an obvious horizontal path at the top of the right wall. Use the Drill form to burrow into the ceiling, then head right and through the path. You’ll find a pipe to go down, where you’ll find the secret exit.

World 6: Hot-Hot Hot! Secret Exit

Super Mario Wonder Hidden Exit World 6 Hot Hot Hot

Once you pass the checkpoint, keep heading right a bit, and you’ll see a doorway that is flanked by a set of ribs on either side. There are also plenty of heated blocks on both sides. Wait until they cool, and then use them to jump on top of the structure. Now, go left and jump across two stone block platforms until you reach a cloud platform.

Super Mario Wonder Hidden Exit World 6 Hot Hot Hot 2

Touching the flower on the cloud platform causes a purple spark to fly left. Chase it until it turns into a door. Going through the door will lead to a new area. Now, just continue heading right to reach the secret exit.
