Sierra is one of the three Team GO Rocket Leaders in Pokemon Go, and she is known for her challenging team of Shadow Pokemon. In order to beat Sierra, you will need to build a team of Pokemon that can cover all of her bases and be able to withstand her powerful charge moves.
How to Beat Sierra in Pokemon Go
In order to Beat Sierra in Pokemon Go you need to know the Pokemon in her team. Sierra’s team consists of seven different Shadow Pokemon:
- Phase 1: Sableye
- Phase 2: Skarmory, Gardevoir, or Muk
- Phase 3: Houndoom, Gyarados, or Kingdra
Sierra’s Counters
Each Phase of battle with Sierra in Pokemon Go will require specific counter Pokemon.
Phase 1
For Sierra’s first phase, it is best to use a Fairy-type Pokemon, such as Gardevoir, Togekiss, or Granbull. Fairy-types are super effective against Sableye, and they will be able to take it down quickly.
Phase 2
For Sierra’s second phase, it is more difficult to choose counters, as she has three different options. However, there are a few Pokemon that can handle all three of her choices.
- Shadow Skarmory: Electric- and Fire-type Pokemon, such as Mega Y Charizard, Mega Blaziken, Shadow Magnezone, and Shadow Raikou, are all effective against Skarmory.
- Shadow Gardevoir: Ghost-, Poison-, and Steel-type Pokemon, such as Gengar, Attack Deoxys, Nihilego, Origin Giratina, Metagross, and Roserade, are all effective against Gardevoir.
- Shadow Muk: Ground- and Psychic-type Pokemon, such as Primal Groudon, Shadow Mewtwo, Mega Alakazam, Shadow Excadrill, Mewtwo, Mega Latios, and Shadow Garchomp, are all effective against Muk.
Phase 3
Sierra’s third phase is the most difficult, as she has three very powerful Shadow Pokemon to choose from. However, there are a few Pokemon that can handle all three of her choices.
- Shadow Houndoom: Rock-, Fighting-, Ground-, and Water-type Pokemon, such as Primal Kyogre, Primal Groudon, Terrakion, Keldeo, Kyogre, Lucario, Rampardos, and Rhyperior, are all effective against Houndoom.
- Shadow Gyarados: Rock- and Electric-type Pokemon, such as Xurkitree, Zekrom, Therian Thundurus, Electivire, Zapdos, Raikou, Magnezone, and Tapu Koko, are all effective against Gyarados.
- Shadow Kingdra: Psychic-, Flying-, Fire-, and Ice-type Pokemon, such as Mega Rayquaza, Shadow Salamence, Mega Salamence, Mega Gardevoir, Shadow Garchomp, Mega Latios, and Shadow Dragonite, are all effective against Kingdra.
