MW3 Tactical Stance Not Working Kills Not Counting Bug Fix Modern Warfare 3

MW3 Tactical Stance Not Working Bug Fix: Why Are Kills Not Counting for Camo Challenges?

A frustrating MW3 tactical stance not working bug is making it impossible to complete various camo challenges for certain guns. Many users reporting this issue have problems with the tac stance for SVA 545, the starter assault rifle in Modern Warfare 3. But this issue can happen with any assault rifle or gun for that matter. Either the tactical stance isn’t triggering or kills while in the stance are not counting for some reason. There are actually several reasons why this bug may be happening, and fortunately there are some solutions you can try to resolve the issue. Here is how to fix tactical stance kills not counting in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

How to fix MW3 tactical stance not working

Below are a handful of ways to make tactical stance kills count or just have the stance work in general in MW3:

  • Make sure you’re using the right scope attachment – The tactical stance will only work if you have the red dot sights and iron sights. It doesn’t work with other larger scopes, like thermals, for some reason.
  • Check settings to make sure tactical stance isn’t turned off – Head through the in-game settings and check to see that the option for Tactical Stance is set to toggle.
  • Check the weapon level requirements – To unlock camos for a gun, it needs to be at Level 30 in most cases. Otherwise, tactical stance kills using them won’t count.

You may also want to change your keybind for entering a tactical stance. On consoles or if you’re using a controller on PC, changing the control scheme to double tap ADS is a good idea.

Even if you don’t normally use a tactical stance with certain weapons, you may come upon a daily challenge that asks you do use a stance. So these fixes should help you clear these if you experience any issues with them.
