You’ll need to solve the control rod puzzle in WH40K: Rogue Trader to proceed further on Eurac V. To do so; you’ll need to make it to the lab and craft the control rod from the ingredients you find as part of the Secrets of the Navis Nobilite quest. How to solve the control rod puzzle in the Secrets of the Navis Nobilite quest in Rogue Trader
To craft the control rod in Rogue Trader, you’ll need to make it to the Eurac V lab. This area is a bit confusing because there are two things you can do here:
- Remake the control rod
- Craft one of two helpful items
Remake the control rod
Remaking the control rod is easy. Just head to the device in the north part of the room and choose to “remake the control rod.” After doing so, the machine will do its work, and you’ll get the next objective for the Secrets of the Navis Nobilite quest.
Craft one of two helpful items
The second thing you can do is craft either Adaptive Antidotes or Elixir of Warp Neutralitys. Here’s what they both do:
- Adaptive Antidotes: Makes you immune to toxic damage for one battle, but you incur a -10 Toughness penalty.
- Elixir of Warp Neutrality: You’re immune to Warp damage for one battle, but you won’t be able to deal Warp damage and have a -10 Fellowship penalty.
Both items are equally useful and can turn the tide of a battle under the right circumstances. You’ll find the ingredients to both throughout the lab and adjacent rooms. The only catch here is that you’ll need to use the Transducer in the lab to grind Psy-Crystal into Crystal Dust and Adamantium into Adamantium Dust before it’s usable.
