Helldivers 2 Medal Cap Limit

Helldivers 2 Medal Cap: Is There a Medal Limit?

Many players are wondering if there’s a Helldivers 2 Medal Cap. Most of us spend our medals as soon as we earn them. However, as time goes on, more and more people will unlock everything in the Warbonds and be left with a surplus. As such, it’s no surprise that some players are worried about a Medal Limit in Helldivers 2.

Is there a Medal Limit in Helldivers 2?

The Medal Cap in Helldivers 2 is 250.

Unfortunately, the medal limit in Helldivers 2 is relatively low, and players are prevented from saving up too many at once. Those that use their medals as soon as they get them won’t find this an issue for quite a while since it takes a lot of them to purchase all the items in both the basic and premium warbonds. However, if you like to save up and splurge on purchases later, you may be in for some frustration.

The 250 medal cap is worrisome for players for a couple of reasons:

  • It’s easy to hit the cap if you spend medals infrequently.
  • There’s no banking your medals for later once you’ve bought everything.

It’s not hard to hit 250 medals, even for players who are just starting the game. For example, the two most recent major orders paid out 95 medals by themselves. With the way the cap works, if you had 200 medals and got the 95 medal payout for major orders, you’d lose 45.

You’re also out of luck if you’ve already unlocked everything in the warbonds. Once you hit 250, you’re essentially playing for no payout since there’s no way to convert medals into samples or requisition slips. The cap was likely implemented so you can’t just save up medals to unlock everything as soon as a new warbond drops, but it would be nice to have an alternative use for medals instead of the low limit we have now.
