[Original]

Crackle sent word today that Dead Rising: Watchtower, a new original feature film produced explicitly for the service, will arrive on March 27th, 2015 and feature a group of survivors in a "large-scale zombie outbreak."

Jesse Metcalfe, Meghan Ory, Virginia Madsen, and Dennis Haybert are set to star in the film developed by Legendary Entertainment and written by Tim Carter. Here are the details straight from Crackle who say the film will also be available on DVD and TV:

When a mandatory government vaccine fails to stop the infection from spreading, the four leads must evade infection while also pursuing the root of the epidemic, with all signs pointing to a government conspiracy. Politics, public paranoia, and media coverage play an important role in the story's narrative.

Let's hope that someone on the team has at least covered wars or looks good in one of those string bikinis that almost always guarantee Frank and Chuck wedgies.
