Sony Brings 99¢ Movie Rentals to PSN Video Store

For all you needs!

There aren't many things in life that you can buy for less than a dollar. Even the dollar stores out there have started selling merchandise for over a dollar, defeating the purpose of their names. For shame. Sony isn't letting you buy anything for a dollar, either. But they are letting you rent something for less than a buck.

Sony has announced a "99¢ Movie Rental Program" for the PlayStation Network video store. Each week, new movies and TV shows will be available for rent, for the low price of 99¢ for SD, and $1.99 for HD.

This new program starts today when the PlayStation Store updates and features a set of select movies and TV shows that remain available for one week. A new set of movies and TV shows will be made available with each PlayStation Store update.

The first week of content runs from August 16th-22nd and includes:

  • Sicko
  • The Longshots
  • Salvage
  • Tony
  • Shank
  • Bonded By Blood
  • JFK: Reckless Youth (Part 1)
  • JFK: Reckless Youth (Part 2)
  • Deadly Blessing (Directed by Wes Craven)
  • Carver
  • Devil in the Flesh 2 (aka Teacher's Pet 2)
  • Illuminating Angels & Demons

Anyone going to take advantage of these cheap flicks?
