Bloodstained Wii-U Version Happening; Online Play, Vita Version Loom Ahead

After being funded in about 13 seconds and hitting its first handful of stretch goals over night, Koichi Igarashi's Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (psst, it's a Castlevania game that Konami has become too huge a group of assholes to publish, don't tell them, sshhhhhh) hit the three-million mark, meaning a Wii-U version will be produced.

Next up, according to the Kickstarter page, is a $3,250,000 goal for asynchronous multiplayer, followed by a $3.5 million goal to create a Vita port. So if you're looking for a version of the game that can provide portability and a shitty frame rate, now's the time to get in on the funding.

We've recorded a podcast on the topic of "Metroidvania" games recently, so you can also listen to that.
