These Are All The New Skills Coming to Existing Jobs In FFXIV: Heavensward

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward is just three weeks from release. While many players are most excited for the areas and classes that the expansion will bring, the addition of new skills to the existing roster of 10 jobs is perhaps equally as exciting.

 

Information regarding the new skills for existing jobs is beginning to trickle out. A user by the name of Susurrus on the Blue Gartr forums (follow him on Twitter) has been kind enough to put in the time and effort to figure out what many of the skills do and what they're called. So, now you can see how the job you play as will evolve going from level 50 to 60.

Now that you've seen what the skills look like, below you can find the names and descriptions of nearly every skill being added to the game. Keep in mind that this doesn't include information for the three new jobs which consist of Dark Knight, Machinist, and Astrologian, which you can read about more in the source document here.

 

Paladin

 
  • Royal Authority
    • Damage-only finisher from Savage Blade
  • Gore Blade
    • DoT finisher from Riot Blade
  • Divine Veil
    • Any cures received during the buff also gives a barrier to nearby party members
  • Sheltron
    • Guarantees the next attack will be blocked
    • Recovers MP
  • Clemency
    • Heals himself and party members
  • Adjustments to help boost defense for all party members.
  • Shield Oath given a 15% Accuracy Buff

Warrior

 
  • Deliverance
    • New DPS Stance
    • Raises Critical Hit Rate
    • Grants Abandon stacks
      • Switches to Wrath stacks if you switch to Defiance and vice-versa
      • Increases Critical Hit Rate furthur.
      • Same skills that grant Wrath stacks will grant Abandon stacks
    • Unnamed skill
      • Single Target Damage
    • Unnamed skill – Steel Cyclone style skill in Abandon
      • AoE Damage Skill
      • Costs 5 Abandon
  • Raw Intuition
    • Guarantee parry when attacked from the front, but guaranteed critical hit if received from the flank.
