Warner Bros. Launches LEGO-Based Minecraft Competitor

A new LEGO game appeared on Steam this morning, and it looks to be a creation-based sandbox experience much like Minecraft.

LEGO Worlds is being developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The title is currently in Steam Early Access and only includes a single-player mode, but the development team plans to add many more features throughout 2015.

At the moment, the Early Access version touts procedurally generated worlds, a broad selection of creation tools, vehicles, and a day/night cycle among other things. Features like more detailed world generation options and online multiplayer will be added at a later date.

LEGO Worlds is currently available on Steam for $14.99. TT Games and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment plan to keep the game in Early Access for the rest of the year as they aim for an early 2016 release.
