Capcom plans to celebrate Mega Man's 8-bit origins with the Mega Man Legacy Collection, a re-release of the first six games in the series on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and 3DS.
Mega Man Legacy Collection presents the NES games in HD, but it also introduces new features. Replays and leaderboards will be included, and the game touts a Challenge Mode. The new mode "remixes gameplay segments from all six games, with plenty of scaling difficulty objectives for experienced players to conquer yet serving as a good starting point for new players, too."
The collection also comes with some extra goodies for diehard fans of the series. In Museum Mode, fans can take a look at many years of sketches and concept art to get a better idea of the franchise’s roots.
Mega Man Legacy Collection comes out this Summer on PS4, Xbox One, and PC for $14.99. A 3DS release will follow in the Winter.
