Splatoon to Add New Game Mode Tomorrow

Nintendo continues to add new content to Splatoon every week, and now the company plans to introduce a brand new game mode tomorrow called Tower Control.

Tower Controller is a ranked mode, and it requires players to "ride a single floating tower into the enemy's base." In order to ensure victory, teammates must work together to protect the player riding the tower while enemies try to splat them.

Although Wii U owners have to wait until tomorrow to try out Tower Control, they can see it in action later today. Nintendo will be hosting a special Treehouse stream on Twitch at 3pm PST to demonstrate the new mode.

This all leads up to the very first Splatfest, where players choose cats or dogs and compete in a 24-hour event to win bragging rights and special prizes. It begins this weekend on July 4.
