MGS5: The Phantom Pain PC Version Gets Nvidia Game Driver

In a day and age where PC ports tend to be flawed, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain appears to be the shining example of what hard work can accomplish.

In anticipation of tomorrow's release of MGSV: The Phantom Pain, Nvidia has pushed out a new 355.82 GeForce driver. The new driver features performance improvements for Konami's latest title in addition to Mad Max, which similarly releases tomorrow. The announcement post confirms Dynamic Super Resolution and SLI profile support.

Following the completion of development. Konami called the PC version of The Phantom Pain "stunning". Featuring 4K resolution support alongside increased texture quality and other advanced options, the PC version demonstrates the advantages of modern PC hardware. The development team cared so much about getting it into the hands of PC gamers that it skipped a long-needed Summer vacation to ship it on September 1st instead of September 15th.

MGSV: Ground Zeroes' PC version is regarded as one of the best AAA ports in recent history. Not only was it highly optimized, but it performed well under various configurations. Many are hopeful that MGSV: The Phantom Pain will deliver in a similar fashion.
