A Metal Gear Solid Shadow Moses Map Has Been Made Using Halo 5’s Forge

Remember that first time you entered Shadow Moses? Dense snowfall peppered the landscape, guards patrolled around the helipad as well as just above the entrance to the installation, and only small underway passages and an armored vehicle provided cover. Metal Gear Solid's introduction sequence is an iconic moment in video game history, one that even Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots would harness to provoke nostalgia.

Halo 5: Guardians has awakened the spirit of Shadow Moses following the introduction of its level editor, called Forge. Using it, one player has created a remarkably accurate entrance to the installation, which surprisingly serves as a great place for battle with its moderate cover and beautiful landscape.

Shadow Moses has quickly become one of Halo 5: Guardians' most downloaded maps, and one that the community is actively talking about. It's also one that has encouraged map creators to explore their creativity, with tons of maps currently in production that similarly reproduce familiar video game levels.

Forge was introduced to Halo 5: Guardians last week in a massive update which also included new items and maps, all at no cost. It has propelled the game's popularity, with more to come following Christmas day.
